Music I listen to
Anything really, but I love R&B, Northern Soul and Motown - Amy Winehouse has got my attention recently with her dark lyrics but catchy
tunes.
Movies I like
Harry Potter Movies transport me away to other places. I love a good horror movie when I'm in the mood, but I really love British
films, especially the 60's, like Alfie, The Railway Children, A Taste of Honey etc. I think being a child in the 60's was fantastic !
TV shows I watch
I am an avid Soap watcher and love Coronation Street, Eastenders and Emmerdale. I also love a GOOD COMEDY DRAMA and shows
like Doc Martin and My Family are my favourites. I am not really keen on any of the cult TV shows or American stuff either. I think American humour is a lot
different to ours.
Books that moved me
The Celestine Prophecies and Conversations with God were poignant to me, and I learned a lot from them. I also love
biographies and autobiographies as I love to have a nosey into other people's lives. I could read at a very early age, and I remember reading books
designed for adults when I was around 9 or 10 years old.I read " The Moon's A Balloon " by David Niven before I reached my teens and it gave me
an appetite for autobiographies.
Interesting facts about me
I am 51 - and work as a Doctor's Receptionist at the moment. I have the gift of mediumship, and worked for many years at home whilst the boys were
younger. I have 4 sons, all are settled and stable except the youngest, who is 17 years old and still at home. I have 4 grandchildren - 2 boys aged 7 & 9
years, and two girls aged 21 months and 6 months as I write this. I love them all dearly, and visit them often. I have been happily married to my present
husband for 16 years - together for over 20 years now - and have been married twice before, unfortunately my previous 2 husbands had a passion for other
ladies, so neither marriage stood a chance. But I am now happy and contented. We have 2 Dogs, a Cat, a Cockatoo, and a Snake ( a Ball Python who is not yet
fully grown - she'll be about 6' long when she's adult ). I do have strong opinions about some things - especially the state of England these days,
but there is little we can do about it. So I just plod along and hope there will be improvement sometime in the future!!
